Hiring Process and Criteria

Thank you for your interest in working at Palestine Schools.  Palestine is a rural school setting within the village limits of Palestine, IL.  Our district houses close to 400 students in total with a total of two separate campuses at 80+ employees.   

 

The District hires the most qualified personnel consistent with budget and staffing requirements and in compliance with School Board policy on equal employment opportunity and minority recruitment. The Superintendent and Principals are responsible for recruiting personnel and making hiring recommendations to the School Board. No individual will be employed who has been convicted of criminal offense listed in Section 5/21B-80 of the School Code.
